Here’s a little about why we love these botanicals and their benefits:
Aloe: A soothing, cooling healer, best known for its ability to aid burns. Aloe has antioxidant and antibacterial properties and is deeply moisturizing and anti-inflammatory. It can also treat various skin conditions such as psoriasis and acne.
Apple Blossoms: Produced in Spring, apple blossoms are highly aromatic. High in antioxidants, they help rid the body of free radicals; it also acts as a stress-reliever, digestive aid and clears up the complexion. Lots of Vitamin C brightens the skin by lightening hyper-pigmentation and this antioxidant also reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
Avocado: Rich in nutrients, avocado is excellent for both skin and hair. Filled with beta carotene, lecithin, omega fatty acids, Vitamins A, D and E, it deeply hydrates while also protecting the skin and reversing the signs of aging. It even provides a natural sunblock. All these nutrients increase collagen which helps skin stay smooth, strong and elastic. It also heals and calms chapped or irritated skin.
Argan: From a nut that grows only in Morocco, Argan oil is referred to as “liquid gold” in the beauty industry for its amazing benefits to skin and hair. High levels of Vitamin E and essential fatty acids (oleic and linoleic acid) assist with skin permeability delivering nutrients more efficiently. The omega fatty acids also help strengthen skin tissues and these antioxidants aid in wrinkle prevention and improve skin’s elasticity. A golden, luxurious oil, Argan feels amazing on the skin, absorbing easily and leaving no greasy finish behind.

Arnica: A powerful topical, Arnica reduces pain and inflammation and helps to reduce and heal bruising, sprains, sore muscles and joints.
Bergamont: Known for its distinctive smoky, green citrus scent, bergamont’s antibacterial qualities keep skin clean and also balance sebum production. Additionally, it is anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and analgesic making it a very useful topical agent on sore muscles and joints.
Black Pepper: Spicy and stimulating, black pepper is naturally warming on the skin. It also has an antiseptic effect on the circulatory system, and is naturally antibacterial.
Blood Orange: A rosy citrus from the Mediterranean, blood orange is uplifting and de-stressing as an essential oil. It can ease nervous tension and promote a happy mood. Its compounds are a natural insect repellent as well. High in antioxidants, specifically anthocyanins, it is anti-inflammatory and reduces redness as well as aches and pains.

Calendula: An amazing topical healer, calendula is astringent, antibacterial, antimicrobial and is good for healing cuts, scrapes, minor wounds, red and inflamed skin, sunburn, acne and many rashes. It is incredibly soothing and gentle, so it works for all skin types. It also reduces redness, relieves muscle spasm and is a great detoxifier so it can be used for eczema and acne.
German Chamomile: (Internal use) A natural sedative for both the mind and body, German Chamomile is sweet and fragrant. As well as being naturally calming, it is also antispasmodic, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory to the system.
Roman Chamomile: (Topical use) Roman Chamomile is much more pungent than German Chamomile and is an excellent cooling agent for the skin: it is antispasmodic, antiseptic, fades dark spots, antioxidant, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory. It works to soothe irritations, helps wounds heal, relieves pain and calms skin with its cooling effects.

Blue Cypress: Exuding a lovely pine/forest scent with a hint of smoke and citrus, Blue Cypress is also anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and an analgesic: working to relieve pain topically.
Elderflowers: Ethereal flowers which grow in clusters of creamy white, five-petaled blossoms, Elderflowers smell like honey, hay and citrus and are filled with antioxidants that protect the skin. Vitamins A, B, C and E all aid in making skin firmer, evening out tone and improving circulation. Nutrient-rich, Elderflowers are also antimicrobial and antifungal so they are excellent at promoting clear, healthy skin.
Eucalyptus: When administered topically, eucalyptus stimulates blood flow to the area for increased healing and is also pain-relieving and antiseptic. It creates a cooling sensation on the skin while also clarifying it.

Ginger Root: (Internal use) It reduces nausea, pain and inflammation.
(Topical use) It reduces redness and eliminates bacteria so it can help prevent and clear-up acne. The antioxidants in it have a protective quality and counteract the signs of aging and sun damage, it can also increase collagen production, and lessen the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

Golden Fall Gingko Leaves: These trees are thought to be the oldest on the planet; they can live over 1,000 years. These ancient beauties improve cognitive function by promoting good blood flow to the brain and protecting against neuronal damage. High levels of flavonoids, terpenoids and antioxidants provide protection against oxidative cell damage. Gingko can improve memory and concentration, and increase physical performance as well.
Grapefruit: A bright and refreshing scent as an essential oil, grapefruit is known to balance mood with its high levels of limonene. Antibacterial and antimicrobial, it also soothes skin blemishes and treats and prevents acne.
Green Tea Leaves: Naturally stimulating and uplifting, green tea gives you an energetic boost without jitteriness for sustained and balanced energy. It is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients which can prevent cell damage and improve brain function with increased neuron firing. It is also known to improve physical performance and boost metabolic rate for fat-burning benefits.

Hemp Seed Oil: A deep green oil made from cold-pressed hemp seeds (which does NOT contain CBD), hemp seed oil is filled with nourishing vitamins and has many moisturizing qualities. This oil hydrates the skin while simultaneously balancing oil production. It contains Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, gamma-linolenic (GLA) acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory while simultaneously encouraging skin growth and new cell generation. It calms skin irritation, combats psoriasis and acne, and reduces the signs of aging.
Hibiscus Blossoms: A heart-health supporting flower, Hibiscus can help lower blood pressure. It’s rich in antioxidants and is great for skin and hair care as well. It contains anthocyanins which helps skin resist aging and decreases inflammation. It’s a natural source of AHA’s (alpha-hydroxy acids) which exfoliate and unblock pores. It’s rich in skin-brightening Vitamin C and skin-plumping amino acids.
Holy Basil: Not to be confused with culinary basil, Holy Basil is a medicinal stronghold. It is an adaptogenic herb which helps the body handle stress and anxiety. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is naturally relaxing to both body and mind. Holy Basil is high in nutrients such as Vitamin C and A, calcium, zinc, iron and chlorophyll. Studies have shown it can reduce stress and sleep problems, and that it also has antidepressant and antianxiety effects.

Lemon Balm: With many calming qualities, lemon balm is used to reduce stress, anxiety and counteract insomnia. It is also known to lift the spirits, improving overall mood and boosting cognitive function. It can lessen feelings of nervousness and panic, and even help calm a racing heart.

Marshmallow Root: Helping skin retain moisture, marshmallow root has soothing and softening effects on the skin. It is not only intensely hydrating but calming to sensitive, easily irritated skin. It contains polysaccharides, flavonoids and is antimicrobial. It is also anti-inflammatory.
Neroli: Blossoms from the bitter orange tree, Neroli’s little white flowers have a rich ethereal scent. They contain lots of terpenes, specifically linalool which soothes mood and uplifts the mind. Neroli is filled with antioxidants that protect and hydrate the skin and can alleviate acne-induced redness and inflammation. Powerfully antibacterial, it reduces breakouts and works to balance sebum production.
Nettles: A powerhouse botanical collected in Spring, Nettles offer a variety of medicinal uses. It is a naturally cleansing and detoxifying herb, helping the body to eliminate waste and boosting the immune system. They can help with skin conditions, arthritic problems, and heavy menstrual bleeding. It is an antiallergenic, helping the body to fend off allergies, hay fever, asthma and itchy skin conditions. It also contains lots of iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, Vitamins A, C, K and several B, fatty acids, all of the amino acids, polyphenols, beta-carotene, lutein, luteoxanthin (pigments), many of which act as antioxidants reducing inflammation.

Palmarosa: A tropical grass, as an essential oil Palmarosa has a spicy sweet scent reminiscent of rose, geranium and citrus. It is well known for its hydrating qualities as well as balancing sebum production on the skin and helping to maintain oil levels. Naturally antibacterial, it helps keep skin clear of blemishes.

Passionflower: A deeply calming and natural sedative, Passionflower is known for its tranquil qualities. It boosts levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain, helping to quiet down a busy mind. It reduces nervous energy, panic and anxiety, and also helps you sleep soundly, without any grogginess the next day or risk of addiction.
Rose Petals: Gathered in summer, the flowers are richly fragrant and contain lots of terpenes. Rose is wonderful for all skin types as it helps maintain the skin’s PH balance. It is also extremely hydrating, softening and gentle. Its many antioxidants help protect facial cells and regenerate fresh skin tissue. A strong anti-inflammatory, it helps to diminish scars, and as an astringent and antibacterial it reduces redness and calms skin. It is also high in Vitamin C and E, stimulating collagen production and intensely moisturizing. A lovely botanical for beautifying skin.
Rosehip Seed Oil: Known as a “dry oil” Rosehip seed oil absorbs quickly and easily into the skin without a feeling of oiliness. It is ideal for all skin types, and contains essential fatty acids which plump skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. High amounts of Vitamin A help even out skin tone, and antioxidants preserve skin’s natural elasticity and youth.

Schisandra Berries: Russian hunters have consumed it for centuries to give them sustained natural energy. Schisandra works to improve overall performance in both body and mind. It strengthens, increases stamina, improves memory and mental clarity. It can make you feel less emotionally tense and more social. Schisandra is an adaptogen that not only helps the body handle stress while maintaining balance in the mind, it also tones the kidneys, protects the liver and cleanses blood. A traditional remedy to improve concentration and coordination, it is also an excellent nerve tonic.
Sunflower Oil: A light and non-greasy oil, Sunflower oil is considered non-comedogenic (meaning it won’t clog pores). Easily absorbed it delivers a range of nutrients to the skin, including Vitamin A and E, antioxidants which help repair and protect skin, also getting rid of acne-causing bacteria. Its emollient properties and linoleic acid helps skin retain moisture. It is also anti-inflammatory, improves skin texture, and with oleic acid, helps wounds heal faster.
Turmeric Root: This botanical has unparalleled health benefits: extremely anti-inflammatory it aids in the body's natural healing process. High levels of antioxidants work to repair a variety of issues, helping conditions where the underlying cause is inflammation. Turmeric contains curcumin, an antioxidant stronger than Vitamin E, which also improves the action of the liver, and works to reduce chronic pain and inflammation. Curcumin works in two ways: blocking free radicals and also stimulating the body's own antioxidant defenses.
